HPLC Purity Is Not the Same as Peptide Content
This resource is educational documentation for laboratory procurement and record review. It does not provide medical advice, treatment guidance, dosage, administration, or reconstitution instructions.
HPLC purity describes the proportion of detected chromatographic material assigned to a target peak under a stated method. Peptide content or assay addresses how much target material is present in the tested sample or container. The two values can differ because they measure different properties.
A product record should label each result by method and unit. Do not convert an HPLC percentage into a mass or vial-content claim without a documented assay calculation and supporting record.
For record review, report each method separately: HPLC result available, content/assay result available, or method not performed.
