Batch-Specific vs. Generic Peptide COAs

This resource is educational documentation for laboratory procurement and record review. It does not provide medical advice, treatment guidance, dosage, administration, or reconstitution instructions.

A batch-specific COA identifies the lot or batch tested and connects the result to a defined record. A generic or representative COA may describe a product or method but does not establish that a different lot received the same test.

Before linking a COA to a product, match the product name, SKU, lot number, test date and issuing laboratory. If the lot cannot be matched, record the status as Documentation pending review or Not provided for this lot.

FDA Q7 describes certificate fields such as product identity, batch number, date, tests, results and laboratory information; see the FDA guidance.
